Produktdesign in der Architektur

Produktdesign kann in der Architektur auf viele Arten eine Rolle spielen – von kleinen Bauteilen bis zu kompletten Raumlösungen. In diesem Seminar werden wir Objekte entwerfen, die funktional, ästhetisch und industriell herstellbar sind, aber speziell für architektonische Anwendungen gedacht sind.

Planung einer Ausstellung – Präsentation Helmuth Wolff in der "Neuen Ziegelei" in Bogenhausen

Thema und Aufgabe des praxisnahen Projektseminars sind die Planung und Durchführung einer fokussierten Architekturausstellung in München außerhalb der Hochschule. Die geplante Präsentation widmet sich den Bauten des weitgehend vergessenen jüdischen Architekten Helmuth Wolff (1895-1940), der zwischen 1926 und 1932 in München Villen, große Wohnanlagen und Kinos errichtet hat.

In order to be convincing in today's flood of images, architectural images must be more precise, more conscious and more interesting. This requires an understanding of how images are constructed, how they direct attention and what messages they convey. The basics for this are image composition, dramaturgy, technical knowledge and the confident use of new technologies.

Formgiving

In this course, students will gain useful insights into 3D modeling techniques using digital tools while exploring their applications in architectural design. The CAD-Software in focus will be Rhinoceros, along with various plugins. Additionally, students will learn about rapid prototyping through 3d-Priting, enabling them to translate their designs into tangible models.

Spatial Transformations

Steinzeit

Stein ist und bleibt in der Architektur der Baustoff par excellence. Natürliche Entstehung, definierte Herkunft und einzigartige Struktur verbunden mit einer hervorragenden C02 Bilanz sind Versprechen für eine grosse Zukunft. Eine mehrtägige Exkursion ins Altmühltal führt uns zu Natursteinen wie Solnhofener Naturstein und Jurakalk, in Steinbrüche sowie zu Meisterwerken des Natursteinbaus.

Flächen- und Raumtragwerke – Konstruktion und Form

Thema der Vorlesungen ist der Entwurf und die Konstruktion von räumlichen Tragsystemen und weitgespannten Flächentragwerken wie Raumfachwerke, Schalentragwerke sowie Seil- und Membrantragwerke. Deren Tragwirkungen und Konstruktionsweisen sowie neue Entwicklungen und Innovationen in der Formfindung und der Herstellung werden untersucht und diskutiert.

Sichtbeton

Der Stoff der Möglichkeiten (alles geht!) und Nebenwirkungen (großes CO2-Problem) wird mit den eigenen Händen erkundet. Selbst schalen, betonieren und veredeln. Im Betonlabor wird in Gruppen angewandt, was in Inputvorlesungen zuvor aufgenommen worden ist. Eine Exkursion vom 17. – 19. April 26 besucht außerdem Meisterwerke des Sichtbetons ins der Ostschweiz, Norditalien und Südtirol.
