Anastasiya Ponomaryova Reuse is making the invisible visible 18.06.2025 09:00 h am zoom
18/06/2025
This lecture explores reuse as a practice of re-vealing hidden architectural and social values. Starting from a now-lost 2015 project in Eastern Ukraine, it reflects on how memory and reuse can preserve knowledge beyond physical form.
Drawing on her work with Urban Curators, MetaLab, and CO-HATY, Anastasiya shows how reuse connects displaced people and local communities — not just through materials, but through shared spaces and meanings. The lecture calls for rethinking architectural value and embracing lived experience in design.
Anastasiya Ponomaryova (Пономарьова Анастасія) is an architect, researcher, and co-founder of Urban Curators and CO-HATY. She has worked at ETH Zurich and with MIT, focusing on sustainable and circular housing in Ukraine.
